Are acrylic nails worth it?

I am considering getting short acrylic nails. Are they worth all the trouble? Also can you still easily text and type with them? (I have a blackberry curve if that makes a difference)Are acrylic nails worth it?
Keeping up your natural nails is less work and less expense. To grow them strong, use Nailtiques or Nail Tek (which ever formula is right for your nails)

As a nail tech I would advise that you use the gel nails they are not as harm full as the acrylic nails the are not as thick and make the person doing them just make them come over the edge of your finger tip that way they are not too long so you can text and use you blackberry.. Acrylics are harsher on your natural nail and if you break one it is app to break your natural nail all the way off to the nail bed it is possible I am not saying that is what will happen.





However gels are a much more natural feeling nail.

I had them done about 4 months ago and it was the worst thing i ever done.


They hurt when i caught them on something or when i knocked them, i had to get them filled in about every 10 days and then what i finally had them removed my natural nails where so bad and week and a funny colour that they where wrecked. Iv had my acrylic nails off now for about 2 and a half months and my natural nails are still wrecked its really not worth it.





Also i found that it was really hard to type, text etc with them on.

Acrylic nails are nice to have but only if you plan on keeping them up every 2 weeks or so! They ruin your nails when people get them and then rip them off! If you do decide to get them and you decide you don't like them then get them soaked off that way your natural nails won't be harmed! I have a curve as well and when I had my nails on it took me forever to type a sentence! Takes some getting used to! If you have any more questions feel free to ask! Xoxo
